describe
The second and third cities of Crete are treasures with a rich history and a beautiful harbour. On this two-stop tour, you'll explore Chania, known as "Little Venice" in the morning and Rethymnon in the afternoon. Yiannis, our expert local guide, says: “Although Heraklion has been the official capital since the 1970s, most Cretans still consider Chania to be the capital of the island. It has more soul and historical significance, Of the large cities of Crete, in my opinion, the most beautiful.
The fun begins in Chania, the second largest city on the island. The imprint of Venice is all over the old town. The colorful and winding harbor is the best choice. Here, a Venetian pier meets a terrace café. Enjoy a guided tour of the old town, visiting the market and the famous "Calle del Cuero" before enjoying your free time. Yannis adds: "If you like football, visit the Greek National Football Museum in Chania. The name may sound grand in terms of the store's appearance, but it houses an unusual collection of memorabilia.
Then drive one hour east to Rethymnon. It's smaller and quieter than Chania, but has a similar charm. Here, a maze of narrow streets connects the old port with the castle of Fortezza. Everything in between dates back to Venetian and Ottoman times. During your guided tour, you'll see churches and mosques of various styles. You will also have free time to find a nice bistro for lunch.

Samaria Canyon Tour
Take your hiking boots to pieces on this tour of Samaria Canyon. The 16-kilometre gorge is the longest in Europe, so while the five- to six-hour hike is challenging and not for the faint of heart, it's still spectacular. You'll start by driving through the White Mountains to the starting point, the Xyloskalo Steps, which meander down about 200 meters into the canyon. You'll pass chapels, walk between tall canyon walls and, if you're lucky, spot some wild Kri-Kri goats from Crete. Most notable, however, is the "Iron Gate", the narrowest passage in the canyon, with the 300-meter-high walls only 3 meters apart. Finally you will reach the Agia Roumeli Spa, where you can take a bath or relax in the bistro if you are in a good mood. After your break, you will take a boat along the coast to the meeting point, where your bus will be waiting for you. Ideal for outdoor space lovers.

Santorini Tour from Heraklion Port
The volcanic island of Santorini is located in the northern part of Crete. And this one-day trip on the "Quick Cat" catamaran is a good opportunity to get close to the dream island. Formed by volcanic eruptions some 3,500 years ago, Santorini is known today for its black rock landscapes, white villages and distinctive blue-domed church domes. Explore the island's sights and learn about its history. Explore the town on the rim of the caldera, with its whitewashed houses, cobblestone streets and taverns built into the steep terraces of the cliffs. Spend approximately 90 minutes in Oia, divided between a guide and free time to explore the city on your own. Then we head to Fira, the capital of the island. You have about an hour to browse quaint little shops and enjoy local food. The view of the collapsed crater is truly impressive and a great photo opportunity.

This cruise has it all: beautiful scenery, time on the beach, and medieval history. The tour starts from Kastelli on the north-west coast of Crete, from where it takes a boat across Kissamos Bay to the peninsula and the island of Gramvousa. Finally, stop for a few hours at the beautiful Balos Lagoon. You'll pass steep cliffs and caves before landing on the island of Imeri Gramvousa - 'Imeri' means 'tame'. Spinalonga Robinson Club Exclusive Tour
On this tour exclusively for Robinson Club guests, travel back in time to the island of Spinalonga, Europe's last leper colony, which closed in 1950. After a 25-minute boat ride from Elounda to this spooky island, visit the beautiful Porto Agios Nikolaos after a guided tour. Take a guided island walk and learn about the history of Spinalonga, once a Venetian outpost, an Ottoman city, and more recently a colony of lepers, earning it the nickname "Isle of Tears." Look at Main Street, still lined with shops and houses, where lepers try to live normal lives. Also visit the old hospital and cemetery. After this visit, you will return to Elounda by boat. There you have time to swim, relax in the sun or watch the world go by from the café. Enjoy lunch at a local tavern. Finally, visit Agios Nikolaos, an elegant seaside town protected by two islands off the coast.
