What should I do if I am late for my reservation?
Whilst we cannot promise that we will be able to accommodate you, it is best to arrive as close to your booking time as possible (remember your arrival time is 10 minutes prior to the start of your session) and our team will do their best however may require that you you enter a game box. Note that this can also include playing a shorter game.
What is the appropriate age?
We allow more than 5 players! At least one adult (18+) with children under 12 must be present per game box. US Specific: Children ages 12-17 may play alone, but must have an adult (18+) sign a waiver on their behalf upon arrival.
My child is under 5 years old, can he play?
We have done extensive testing and have found that while children under 5 enjoy the lights and music, the adventures themselves may be too challenging to fully participate. You're more than welcome to join Gamebox and watch, but unfortunately you can't participate. Children under the age of 4 do not need to purchase a ticket, but please note that the experience is highly sensory and may not be suitable for children of this age. The game boxes hold a maximum of 6 people, including younger children who do not participate. Beware of small children in the gamebox as lighting can be dim and players are very active!
Do you serve drinks?
Yeah! All of our UK locations offer a drinks service including soft drinks, beer, wine and pre-mixed spirits. Our US locations vary by state, with most offering soft drinks, beer and wine at select locations. Check the location page to see if your local gamebox offers full drinks. To ensure your drinks are served quickly and our game boxes are in pristine condition, all of our drinks are served canned or plastic.
How does pricing work?
We have adventures with different duration of 30 minutes or 60 minutes, so the price will change depending on the adventure you want to play and when you want to visit us! You can see the prices when you book your tickets.
What should I wear?
Wear appropriate footwear: flats or sneakers, no open toes or heels. We recommend wearing just one layer as it can keep you warm while you're active in the gamebox!
Are there any physical requirements?
You move your gamebox as the game controller, but our games are not very physical and all activities are contained in one gamebox, so you don't need a specific fitness level to play.
Can more than 6 people play?
Our game boxes offer space for a maximum of 6 players. So when you make your reservation, our system will automatically reserve multiple game boxes to accommodate your group size. You have to divide the group into teams and everyone plays at the same time.
Can I keep my belongings?
We do have lockers for small bags and coats, but we do not have storage space for large items such as suitcases or bicycles in our rooms. Look for alternate arrangements to store such items. Stroller/stroller storage can be accommodated but space is limited so please contact us in advance if you need it and we'll see what we can do.
Will I be placed in other groups?
No, you will not be placed in another group. Reservations are private and you will only be accompanied by those in your gamebox who have reserved you to play, even if there are only two of you.
If I have a disability or entry requirements, can I still play the games?
Most disabilities and access requirements can be accommodated, but we want to make sure gaming is safe and fun for everyone. So if you're not sure, please contact us before you book and we can help you figure it out. Players with light sensitivity should be aware that our adventures contain digital projections that represent a flickering light source. Please contact us if you have any questions and we will be happy to discuss them.
Do you have discount tickets for nurses?
We offer one free Caregiver ticket per reservation. Please note that you may be required to provide proof of your status as a caretaker on the site.
Can I play if I'm pregnant?
Playing Immersive Gamebox is a physical activity with a lot of foot movement. While we have no restrictions on pregnant players, every pregnancy is different and we leave it up to you whether or not you should play.
Do you offer a student discount?
Yes, we only offer a student ticket for 60 minute games played Monday through Wednesday. The student discount is available to persons 18 years of age or older in full-time education. Valid identification is a college or university student ID or card, NUS or ISIC (UK) card. Not valid from Thursday to Sunday.
Do you take care of school classes?
Yes, the Immersive Gamebox is a very popular activity for visiting school groups. Visit immersivegamebox.com/schools for more information.
